Mures Fishing wins Primary Producer category at 2019 Stay Afloat Tasmanian Seafood Awards
Mures Fishing has won the Primary Producer category in the 2019 Stay Afloat Tasmanian Seafood Awards run through the Tasmanian Seafood Industry Council (TSIC). Held biannually, these awards acknowledge excellence within the Industry.
TSIC recognised their contribution, stating:
Mures Fishing has demonstrated, for many years, a commitment to sustainable fishing practices, innovation, using new technology and catch provenance. Mures stood out as an entity that contributes to the wider seafood industry, and plays a critical role in supporting the wild capture and processing sectors.
Mures Tasmania went on to win three additional awards that evening, including Large Enterprise Business for Mures Tasmania, Best Fish & Chips Judges Award for Mures Lower Deck, and the prestigious Industry Ambassador Award for the Mure Family.
The awards were held on Saturday, 6th of July.
